About me

I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, registered with and working to the professional standards of the BACP. In practice being integrative means that I am client led and can draw on a range of different approaches that can be tailored to each client’s individual needs.

Over the last 15 years I have had the opportunity to support people to explore their personal, professional and emotional lives. Initially, as a coach and mentor for people working in the Arts and Cultural Sector, then providing emotional support through a suicide prevention charity, and for the last few years as a therapist. I work with a broad range of emotional and psychological issues, including working extensively in the area of loss and bereavement.

I work with a diverse group of people from a range of ages, genders, sexual identities, races and cultural backgrounds. I am fully insured and have an advanced DBS.

The quality of the relationship between the therapist and the person seeking support is one of the most essential elements of achieving a successful outcome. I work hard to create strong, trusting relationships with clients. I work collaboratively with clients, working together as a team to uncover, explore and begin to address any issues that they might be experiencing now and those that might stem from past experiences.

With a focus on compassion, acceptance and understanding, I aim to offer a space where people’s unique lived experiences are respected; somewhere to talk freely and openly about anything they need to. One of the essential things for me is that people I am working with feel safe, listened to and that what they are experiencing is important and matters to me.
