How I can help

Many reasons might bring an individual or a couple to therapy. People might look for support in response to things that are going on in their lives now, or long-term issues that may stem from past experiences or relationships. Often people may feel stuck – in a certain place in their lives, in patterns of behaviour that have a negative impact on them, or in a relationship.

People may approach me seeking out therapy for some of the following reasons:

For couples and intimate partners:

  • Issues around improving communication and managing conflict

  • Building trust (in particular after this may have been broken)

  • Navigating desire discrepancy

For all clients

  • Depression, low moods, suicidal thoughts, self-harm

  • Problems in relationships – family, romantic, work related

  • Loss; including bereavement and relationships

  • Self-esteem, lack of confidence or issues around self-worth or body image

  • Anxiety related issues, including; stress, intrusive or overwhelming thoughts, OCD

  • Recovering from trauma (including sexual assault)
